This is a novel designed for young teenage girls who are into reading novels based wholly on wish fulfilment. However, if you are any other type of reader then this novel isn’t for you. That said, it has received rave reviews: “This book has one of the most charismatic narrators I’ve ever met” – J.K. A more honest review might be: “A mishmash of Austen storylines told by a pretentious and precocious teen whose voice grates as it warbles through a host of clichés and drags us about her petty and childish concerns as well as her shallow and hollow feelings: facile, see-through and sloppy. D-”
