Collected Fictions – Jorge Luis Borges

Collected Fictions – Jorge Luis BorgesIn one volume is all the prose fiction of possibly the greatest South American writer of all time. His fiction can only be described as Borgesian: utterly weird, utterly compelling, at times amusing, at times unsettling, but always Borgesian. The philosophical term “Borgesian conundrum” is named after him and has been defined as the ontological question of “whether the writer writes the story, or it writes him,” which just about sums him up, as well as completely misses the point. So – essential reading.
